- Tôi nhớ - chàng sinh viên trẻ mỉm cười trả lời. Cũng như bao sinh viên khác đang có mặt trong buổi hôm nay, anh ta đang theo học khóa học về doanh nghiệp tại một ngôi trường rất có uy tín, nơi mà tôi được mời giảng dạy. Anh ta biết rằng, cách dạy của tôi không bao giờ đưa ra lời giải đáp có sẵn cho sinh viên. Tôi dạy trên cơ sở nhìn nhận từ một khía cạnh khác, luôn động viên sinh viên tìm tòi, suy nghĩ và tự đánh giá cách suy nghĩ đã trở thành thói quen của mình.
- Quy luật 90/10 có gì liên quan đến kế hoạch đầu tư của tôi? – sinh viên hỏi cẩn thận.
- Có chứ, liên quan rất nhiều. Bạn có nghĩ rằng, với kế hoạch tìm việc và để riêng ra 20.000 USD cho đầu tư mỗi năm có thể đưa bạn vào danh hạng 10% các nhà đầu tư kiếm được 90% số tiền?
- Tôi không biết! – sinh viên trả lời – Tôi chưa bao giờ nghĩ về kế hoạch của mình từ khía cạnh đó.
- Đa số mọi người không nghĩ như vậy – tôi nói – Rất nhiều người vạch ra kế hoạch và nghĩ rằng, đó là kế hoạch đầu tư duy nhất và tốt nhất. Ít ai thử so sánh cái của mình với người khác. Vấn đề ở chỗ, nhiều người không thể nào biết được nếu kế hoạch của họ là sáng suốt hay không, cho đến khi đã quá muộn.
- Nhưng, với sáng kiến tìm một công việc tốt và để riêng ra 20.000 USD mỗi năm có phải là một kế hoạch chính đáng? – sinh viên hỏi – Dù thế nào đi nữa tôi mới chỉ có 26 tuổi.
- Đó là một kế hoạch sáng suốt, đương nhiên là như vậy. Chắc chắn khoản tiền để riêng ra đó không phải ai cũng có, và bắt đầu cuộc sống khi còn trẻ với một số tiền như vậy sẽ giúp bạn trở thành một người giàu có. Nhưng câu hỏi của tôi vẫn là: Với một kế hoạch đầu tư như vậy liệu bạn có thể gia nhập đội ngũ những nhà đầu tư 90/10?

- Quy luật 90/10 cũng là những gì mà người Cha giàu luôn hỏi tôi. Ông hỏi tôi về những sáng kiến, những gì có thể làm nên tài sản mà không cần phải mua bằng đồng tiền.
Toàn bộ sinh viên ngồi im lặng, suy nghĩ về câu đố và quy luật. Cuối cùng một trong số sinh viên đã hỏi: Có phải chính vì lẽ đó mà ông thường nói rằng để kiếm ra tiền, thật sự không cần đến tiền?
- Bạn bắt đầu hình dung ra rồi đó – tôi gật đầu và nói – Phần lớn trong 90% số người sở hữu 10% số tài sản thường nhận định rằng: „Để kiếm được tiền, trước tiên phải có tiền”. Nhiều người không nghĩ đến đầu tư hoặc dễ bỏ cuộc vì không có tiền. Tôi cùng người Cha giàu thường cùng nhau đi ăn trưa và ông luôn hỏi tôi về những sáng kiến mới: Làm thế nào để có tài sản, không phải bằng cách mua, mà là sáng tạo ra chúng. Ông biết rằng, rất nhiều những nhà siêu tỉ phú đã làm giàu từ cách đó. Bill Gates, Michael Dell hay Richard Branson đã sớm trở thành tỉ phú không phải nhờ tìm việc làm công ăn lương hay dành dụm vài đồng bạc.
- Ý ông nói rằng, một trong những cách làm giàu là trở thành nhà doanh nghiệp?
- Không, tôi không nói vậy. Tôi dùng ví dụ đó chỉ vì các bạn đang theo học khóa học đào tạo các doanh nghiệp của Thunderbird University. Ban nhạc The Beatles đã trở thành siêu giàu vì đã tạo ra được một loại tài sản mà cho đến giờ vẫn mang lại thu nhập cho họ. Những nhà khoa học đã phát minh ra được những gì có giá trị rất cao. Các họa sĩ đã vẽ ra được những bức tranh vô giá. Nhà văn đã viết ra được những cuốn sách tồn tại cùng thời gian … Các bạn không cần phải trở thành những doanh nghiệp để tạo ra tài sản. Tất cả những gì các bạn cần làm là trở thành những con người sáng tạo, khi ấy các bạn sẽ trở thành giàu có đến suốt đời.
… Cách suy nghĩ của mỗi người sẽ tạo ra tài sản. Một khi ai đó đã sở hữu cách nghĩ sáng tạo, người đó sẽ trở nên giàu có, giàu hơn cả chính bản thân anh ta có thể tưởng tượng.
… Các bạn còn nhớ câu chuyện về những cuốn truyện tranh từ cuốn sách đầu tiên của tôi – “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”? Khi tôi đòi tăng lương, người Cha giàu đã lấy đi của tôi 10 cent và yêu cầu tôi làm việc không công cho ông ta. Ông đã lấy đi số tiền “lương” ít ỏi đó, vì ông không muốn tôi sẽ suốt đời làm việc vì tiền.
… Những cuốn truyện tranh đã được đổi thành tài sản. Nhưng thật sự những cuốn truyện tranh cũ đó có phải là tài sản hoặc một phần của tài sản? Không! Quá trình tư duy đã biến đổi chúng thành tài sản. Tất cả những thứ đó người Cha giàu đã nhìn thấu. Sau đó ông nói với tôi rằng, sức mạnh ông sở hữu chính là sức mạnh từ sự tư duy. Đó là quy trình tiến triển mà ông thường gọi đùa là “thay đổi những thứ bỏ đi thành tiền mặt”. Ông cũng nói thêm rằng: “Rất nhiều người làm ngược lại – đổi tiền mặt thành thứ bỏ đi. Chính vì thế mà quy luật 90/10 mới có chức năng.”
Người Cha giàu thường nói rằng, tâm trí của chúng ta là những tài sản quý giá nhất và nếu nó không được dùng đúng cách, nó rất dễ dàng trở thành tiêu sản lớn nhất.
… Trong cuốn sách “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, một trong những bài học người Cha giàu đã dạy chính là: “Những người giàu có nghĩ ra tiền”. Bài học đầu tiên trong sáu bài học nói rằng: “Những người giàu không làm việc vì đồng tiền.”
- Có những người không làm việc, vì ý tưởng sáng tạo của họ làm việc thay họ. Trong thời buổi hiện nay có rất nhiều học sinh, sinh viên có cách nghĩ giống người Cha giàu. Rời khỏi mái trường để trở thành giàu có không phải bằng việc làm công ăn lương. Các bạn hãy nhìn những siêu tỉ phú của Internet. Rất nhiều người trong số họ đã bỏ học để sớm trở thành tỉ phú, và cũng chưa bao giờ nghĩ đến chuyện làm công ăn lương.
… Những điều đó xảy ra không chỉ riêng trong kỷ nguyên thông tin. Điều đó đã xảy ra hàng thế kỷ qua. Những ai không có tài sản làm việc cho những ai biết cách tạo ra, sở hữu và quản lý tài sản.
Nhà tỉ phú Henry Ford đã từng nói: “Suy nghĩ là một trong những công việc nặng nhọc nhất, chính vì thế mà chỉ có rất ít người dính dáng đến nó.”
Người cha giàu thường nói, tốt nhất là làm việc trong nhiều năm để tạo nên tài sản, còn hơn là phải dành cả cuộc đời để làm việc vì đồng tiền và qua đó tạo ra tài sản cho người khác.
